Healthcare is a human right

The Transgender Healthcare Access Fund is dedicated to eliminating financial barriers to gender-affirming healthcare. We believe that every transgender person deserves access to the medical care that affirms their identity and supports their well-being.

Our mission is threefold:

• 1Provide Direct Financial Assistance: We fund surgeries, hormone therapy, hair removal, and other gender-affirming services for those who cannot afford them.
• 2Connect People to Resources: We help applicants navigate the healthcare system, find providers, and access additional support services.
• 3Advocate for Change: We work to raise awareness about the need for better insurance coverage and healthcare access for transgender individuals.

We envision a world where every transgender person has access to the healthcare they need without financial barriers. A world where gender-affirming care is recognized as essential healthcare and covered by all insurance plans. A world where no one has to choose between paying rent and affording a necessary medical procedure.

Until that world exists, THAF will continue to bridge the gap through direct financial assistance, education, and advocacy. We are committed to being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us and to maximizing our impact on the lives of transgender individuals.
